The books are chosen by group members and we try to have a variety of genres, for example this year we read two classics; Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, also, what is sometimes described as a modern classic, Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer. We've also read a non-fiction book, the Wager by David Grann and a book by a local author who spoke at the Warminster Book Festival in June - The Price of Silence by Nikki Coppleston.
Our most recent reads have been the List of Suspicious Things which is a debut novel by Jennie Godfrey and is set in Yorkshire during the Ripper murders, also The Penguin Lessons by Tom Michell.
